HØRCHATA CHAI

A creamy, spice-loving, summer staple❣️🥛

ingredients

yields 6 cups:

  • 1.5 cup raw, long grain rice

  • 20g Original Masala Soul Chai 

  • 4 cups hot water

  • 1 cup evaporated milk 

  • 1 cup milk of choice!

  • 2 tsp pure vanilla extract

  • 1/2 granulated sugar
    /sweetened condensed milk 

  • 1/4 tsp salt 

it’s easy!

1. Rinse rice & add to a blender with 2 cups of hot water


2. Blend until rice is finely ground, then add another 2 cups of hot water and blend again


3. Pour your mixture into a container, cover & refrigerate 4+ hours


4. Strain through a fine mesh or cheesecloth into a pitcher


5. Prepare your chai by swirling 20g Soul Chai with just enough boiling water to cover and add your horchata 🥄


5. Stir in your 2 cups of milk, salt, vanilla & sugar/sweetened condensed milk to taste 🍯


6. Serve chilled + over ice with a dusting of chai.

Enjoy! ✨️✨️

*Play around with almond or pandan extracts as well! For a plant-based version the coconut evaporated/condensed milks are delicious!
